Love is Colorful

Art is a voice, art is a scream. Art must be a loud voice screaming.

I was born in the middle of the jungle in Mozambique. I grew up in the middle of medieval castles in Portugal. Now, I live in the middle of the restless landscape of the United States.

I studied Art at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon, Parsons School of Design, and New York University. I studied the classic masters in Europe and the Modernists in the United States.

I like to mix styles because they complement each other and they amplify creative horizons.

My Art is tinged with shades of Surrealism, Modernism, Expressionism, Pop Art, Barroque and the Renaissance.

I paint the invisible message in front of me.

I paint conceptual images to help me uncover hidden emotions, unveil the current state of affairs, and explore social and political issues.

I paint the feelings in my brain and the visions in my heart. My right brain is inspired by my left.

A new painting is always an immersive experience and a shot of adrenaline that forces me to find visual resolutions.

My work may take different forms and styles, but color is one of the main characters in my artistic universe. Bold and strong colors make me smile and help me express ideas and emotions.

I use oils, acrylics, pastels, pencils, and digital tools to create my work. My work is usually focused on one subject around one main idea which can be a critique of a social issue, the

difference between past and present, the expression of a feeling, or whatever makes an emotional or intellectual impression on me.

For the last few years, I’ve been displaying my work in Galleries around the USA and Europe.

Art is a pleasant journey for me.

My heart is motivated by the creative process, and just like my heart...I'M INSPIRED!
