30” x 40”

In my practice, I strive to transform the mundane and familiar aspects of my life into a realm of mystique and otherworldly beauty. Rather than relying solely on observation, I draw inspiration from memory to capture not only the physical form but also the emotional energy of my muse. Forgoing traditional representation, I replace form with pure color and line, abstracting the subject into both form and emotion.

This particular piece is part of an ongoing collection centered around my friends, delving into my personal exploration of platonic love. The ‘muse’ which I believe is often synonymous with a romantic connection to the artist is instead a friend of mine. Each artwork within this series serves as a tribute to those I am lucky enough to call my friends. Through this approach, I aim to transcend mere depiction, inviting viewers to perceive the mystical and emotional dimensions that characterize my connection with each subject.
