Consummation
By Marie Magnetic
Acrylic Gouache 16” x 20”
“Consummation” celebrates the intersection of bisexuality and neurodivergence within a society where my identities are both invisible and othered, branding my own version of femininity where I am already perfect and whole. Queerness can be vibrant and bold or quiet and mysterious. Being queer means going against the grain, rejecting cultural norms, embracing divergence, and rebelling against conformity. “You are pride and joy” holds close the things we tell ourselves and discards the hate and intolerance others may force upon us.
