“Watching the River Flow” by William Cody

mixed media paper collage on matboard and framed

17’’ by 18.5’’

$1250

I am a mixed media artist. My path to collage began with the discovery of a book on handmade envelopes (The Envelope Mill, by Haila Harvey). I began by using individual pictures for the envelopes, but soon began adding other images, in effect creating small collages that I proceeded to use in all my correspondence, including bill paying. (I still do.) Past exhibits include participation in the “History of Woman” show sponsored by the Montage Initiative Project at the Quick Center, Fairfield University (2012), and Fall Into Light: a Celebration of Conscious Music,” at Sticks and Stones Farm, Newtown (2017). There was a solo show at the Milford, Connecticut, Public Library the month of May, 2016. I also exhibited at the Bridgeport Art Trail for several years, before moving to Chicago in February 2020. Just in time for Covid. Most recently, I was in an exhibit at the ARC Gallery, here in Chicago.
