Basil MacLachlan’s Yaoi Cards are a series of collage cards that explore the queering of the status quo. So often are we bombarded with heteropatriarchal marketing throughout printed media. These cards recombine heterosexual media, such as baseball cards, playboy and sports magazines, fundamentalist Christian texts, hentai, pornography, fashion magazines, and others, into new queer forms. All this to say I originally wanted to make the guys on baseball cards kiss. Experience queer joy and laughter through Yaoi Cards!
