Sondwerk is the creative studio of artist and interdisciplinary designer, John Robert Hatherly. Focusing on improvisation, restorative aesthetics, and performance, Hatherly draws on their interest and study in mathematics and spiritual mythologies to create stochastic compositions of color and form that awaken curiosity, uplifting and renewing the human spirit. Hatherly believes in mastery taking generations, and approaches their work with a sense of naïvety and wonder—an infinite search for voice through a series of discrete, playful explorations in a search for forms that illuminate life.
