“Big Pleasure” by Pleshette Strong

Acrylic on Canvas

16’’ by 20’’

$250

I tend to work with fluid, viscous mediums like soft body acrylics and inks. Perhaps this is a testament to my own malleable nature. Perhaps not. But what I do know is that I am often drawn to making work that plays with color, form, and the use (or lack thereof) of negative space. Through this playful process, I leverage ironically messy and unpredictable mediums in order to explore restraint and containment. This creates a paradox between the disembodied and the sensual. A lovely marriage, if you ask me.
