"Meet Me at the Bog" by David Morris
Oil on Panel
16’’ by 20’’
$2200
For as long a I can remember I have been fascinated by human anatomy. While I teach anatomy at the medical school level, I will also forever remain a student in certain respects. As I work with a model I search beyond the structural component of the figure in hopes of understanding something about that person’s experience at a given point in time. In my drawings and paintings I try to convey that aspect of humanity that captivated me - that I saw, or that I imagined, during that time I was in the presence of the people portrayed.
