Alana Peters
I utilize a variety of mediums to create fun and vibrant abstract works that engender a sense of novelty and wonder. A lifelong math nerd, I strive to develop original ways of conveying the beauty of advanced math through fine art. My work is also heavily inspired by psychedelics and serves as a visual representation of the mathematical underpinnings of altered states of consciousness. I would describe most of my work as “organized chaos” that achieves a perplexing coexistence between uniformity and randomness. I think a lot about color theory and I enjoy experimenting with different colors, patterns, and textures to create unusual works of art.
