Mosaic (slate)
2’’ by 5’’
Joe has been experimenting with glass for many years. From his beginnings in glass fusing, to dabbling in stained glass, he has settled and found comfort in glass mosaic. After a few years of course work with the Chicago Mosaic School, he has been fortunate to have participated in workshops hosted by famed international mosaic artists, like Dugald MacInnes and Toyoharu Kii. These mentors have helped shape his smaller artworks of stone and glass. Additionally, he has started exploring making mosaic jewelry including necklaces, bracelets, and bolo ties. All pieces are made with stained glass, stone, and sometimes scrap metal. All glass and stone patterns are hand cut, filed, and designed by Joe. Each piece is unique and there are no duplicates.
