"Woman Laying Down in the Sky" by Deena Uzzell
Watercolor
10’’ by 14’’
Hello! My name is Deena Uzzell. I am a collage & watercolor artist. I have been producing original artwork in my studio since 2002. Some of my pieces are 100% collage, some are 100% watercolors, while others combine both mediums. A few weeks ago, some of my original pieces, and prints of these pieces were on exhibit in the Wrigleyville area. Both images submitted here today are part of a 6 piece set --- which merges 3 of the watercolors into the final piece. Also for many years, I have conducted extensive research on the Abolition of Slavery in the United States, and the Underground Railroad. Depicting some of this history is my current "work in progress."
