I’m creating new ethnic portraits. My art is like a mirror that reflects all cultures and the effects of society. Remember it, repaint it, and expose it again as something completely new, different, bold, young, diverse, and complex with a new appearance. Cultures fascinate me because of their complex history as well as what they mean and say. Because of a fortunate collapse, a decorative element representing a culture or belonging to its background ended up there. Ethnicities have histories and portraits of their own. Today, my work depicts people overcoming a history of beautiful patterns while embracing a new era of collaboration and renewal.
